Profile in the Register of AdvocatesLinkedIn
Mykhaylo works at the intersection of Ukrainian and European practice, advising Clients whose business is not confined to a single jurisdiction.
He combines legal practice with experience as an entrepreneur. He is a founder and co-founder not only of ArtCase but also of companies in Spain in real estate development, modular construction and technology. So he understands the Client’s needs - deadlines, money, risks, relationships with partners - not only as a lawyer but also as a founder.
Key areas
Business structuring and transactions
Analysis of business risks and structure, shareholders’ agreements between partners, planning and support of complex transactions, including between non-residents, and conducting negotiations.
Setting up a business in the EU
Start-ups and operating companies (beauty, construction, IT, services): choice of jurisdiction and legal form, corporate structure, tax planning, permits and licences, relocation of founders and their teams.
Conflict resolution
Negotiation and pre-trial settlement of disputes between partners, with counterparties and with state authorities. He helps resolve disputes without going to court, which saves time and money. Representation in Ukrainian courts and coordination of proceedings in the courts of the United Kingdom, the US, Spain, Cyprus, Estonia and other countries together with partner law firms abroad.
Criminal defence for business
Defence and representation in economic crime proceedings, support during searches, questioning and other contacts with law enforcement, countering corporate raiding.
Cross-border tax and immigration matters
For founders, investors and their families who are moving their business or their lives to the EU (Spain, the Netherlands, Portugal, the UAE and other countries).

Outside work
He grew up in the family of a doctor and a teacher and spent his childhood in a French-speaking environment, which gave him the ability and the habit of living between cultures. His wife is an artist, so art museums are always first on the list when they travel; this is probably also where his attention to aesthetics at work comes from, from the structure of a deal to the look of a document. He is raising two sons and a cat.
